How to update Emission Factors in a Set-up

Keeping your emission factors up to date is key to ensuring accuracy in your reporting. With the new Emission Factor Status and update tools, it’s easier than ever to track, compare, and update your factors.

Identifiera vilka emissionsfaktorer som är i användning

För att identifiera vilka emissionsfaktorer som är i användning i en viss mätning kan du göra följande:

1. På översiktssidan för listan ändrar du filtret från Alla typer till Emissionsfaktorer.
2. Håll muspekaren över en lista över emissionsfaktorer så visas en i ikon visas till höger på skärmen.
3. Klicka på i -knappen så visas en dialogruta som informerar dig om vilka åtgärder listan används i.

Understand Emission Factor Status

Every factor in your setup now shows a status, so you immediately know where action is needed:

• Up to date  – matches the value in the library.
• Local properties added  – you’ve added extra properties on top of the library value.
• Mismatch with library  – the setup value doesn’t match the library value.
• New value available  – a newer version exists compared to the most recent validFrom.
• N/A - this means that the factor doesn’t have an established connection to the emission factor library.

Use the Diff View

When a factor is in Local properties added or Mismatch with library state, you can quickly compare values side-by-side. This helps you see exactly what has changed before deciding how to update.

Choose Your Update Method

You can update emission factors in two ways, depending on your needs:

• Direct update (one by one): Open an item and update the factor directly. Perfect when you want full control.
• Bulk update (per list): Update many factors at once for a faster, more time-efficient process

How to update factors one by one

1. Go to the specific item you would like to update.
2. Review the available values for that item.
3. Click “Add to list item” to add them to your setup

How to update factors in bulk

1. Select the factors in the list which you want to apply the updates for
2. Click “Review Emission factor update”
3. Select the new values you want to apply
4. Click “Apply updates” to update your list with the latest factors.

Establish Missing Connections

If a factor isn’t connected to the library (Status: N/A), it won’t receive updates. In these cases, you can:

1. Search for the correct factor in the library.
2. Establish the connection yourself.

This ensures the factor stays up to date for all future library updates.

Om du uppdaterar emissionsfaktorer för en tidsperiod som redan har rapporterade data krävs en omberäkning för att säkerställa att ändringarna överförs till dina visualiseringar och rapporter. Kontakta din kundansvarige för att få denna omräkning utförd.

Om du lägger till eller uppdaterar emissionsfaktorer för en tidsperiod där inga data ännu har rapporterats behövs ingen omberäkning och det uppdaterade värdet kommer automatiskt att tillämpas på framtida rapportering.
