TABLE OF CONTENTS

The table below lists the user roles in Position Green; some of the roles are available when creating users, others, like Supervisor, are available when editing an org. unit.

A User Role defines a user’s functional responsibility in the platform (e.g., Reporter, Controller, Auditor).

A Role Group determines the user’s permissions - what they are allowed to see and do. Role groups govern access rights and system capabilities.

The following user roles can be created on the Users page in Organization Setup:

Reporter

The Reporter is responsible for confirming reported data.

The Reporter may be the user who enters and confirms data in the platform. When the Four Eyes Principle is applied, the Reporter is the user who reviews and approves data submitted by a Collaborator.

UserControlling

Controller

Controllers have access to reporting progress across the entire organization.

They are responsible for monitoring reporting status and following up where needed. Controllers often act as the second reviewer in the Four Eyes Principle process.

Supervisor

The Supervisor role is assigned when editing an organizational unit.

When a measure is configured with “Unit reports,” the Supervisor becomes the default Reporter for that organizational unit.

A Supervisor may also hold any of the other roles listed above.

Organizational unit controller

Organizational Unit Controllers can view reporting progress within a specific sub-section of the organization.

They can also confirm measures assigned to the organizational unit they are connected to.

Collaborator

Collaborators provide data input. They may be invited as one-time users or contribute to multiple registrations.

When the Four Eyes Principle is applied, the Collaborator acts as the first-line contributor responsible for submitting data for review.

Auditor

Auditors have read-only access and cannot edit any content in the platform.

Access can be granted for the entire organization or limited to specific organizational units. For example, assurance staff may require Auditor access.
