Group Reporting Overview

Pilot feature
Group Reporting is currently being piloted with a limited set of customers. Functionality may change as we continue development and gather feedback.

What is Group Reporting?

Group Reporting helps companies collect sustainability data from other organizations that also use Position Green.

Instead of relying on spreadsheets, email follow-ups, or separate data-sharing processes, registrations can be assigned directly in Position Green. The assigned users can then complete the registrations, collaborate with colleagues, and track progress throughout the reporting process.

Group Reporting provides greater visibility into reporting progress, clearer ownership of reporting tasks, and a more streamlined way to coordinate sustainability reporting across multiple organizations.

How it works

Group Reporting involves two organizations:

Requesting Company

The Requesting Company coordinates the reporting process and requests information from another organization.

Contributing Company

The Contributing Company receives assigned registrations and completes the requested reporting.

Key concepts

Assigned registrations

The Requesting Company selects which registrations should be completed by the Contributing Company.

Once registrations are generated, they become available to the responsible users in the Contributing Company.

Reporting data

Contributing Companies can always complete assigned registrations manually.

In some situations, Group Reporting may be able to suggest answers based on previously reported data. However, suggestions are not always available and may depend on factors such as the reporting setup, available source data, and reporting requirements.

When no suggestion is available, users can continue reporting manually.

Progress tracking

The Requesting Company can monitor reporting progress as work is completed by the Contributing Company.

This provides visibility into ongoing reporting work and makes it easier to identify outstanding tasks and follow up when needed.

Collaboration

The Requesting Company and Contributing Company can collaborate directly within assigned registrations.

Users from both the Requesting Company and Contributing Company can communicate directly through comments and work together throughout the reporting process. This helps keep discussions and reporting work in one place rather than relying on separate email conversations.

The responsible user in the Contributing Company can also invite colleagues to help complete assigned registrations.

Existing Group Consolidation customers

Group Reporting is the successor to Group Consolidation (previously known as Group Sync Assistant).

Group Consolidation remains available for existing customers while Group Reporting is being piloted and prepared for general availability.
