Data must be reviewed before it is signed off. Sign off data on the Manage Data Entries or Review data page. Reporter responsibility is assigned during setup.
Reporter settings in Add or Edit measure under Company setup
In Edit measure, the reporter responsibility defaults to “Unit reports”.
Examples of how the reporter responsibility can be shared
Example 1: Reporting on a unit
A reporter can be given access to a specific org.unit and be responsible for entering its data.
For example, production data is collected from 5 sites around the world. The measure is linked to 5 org.units, so 5 registrations exist, and 5 reporters each enter data into the registration they are responsible for.
Unit reports: distributes responsibility to multiple holders of data.Example 2: Reporting for an entire organization
One reporter is responsible for registering data in all registration instances.
For example, data is collected on employee diversity. One central Human Resources department holds all the data at headquarters. The measure is linked to 5 org.units, so 5 registrations exist, and the selected user registers data in all 5.
Choosing a specific person centralizes responsibility: one person reports for all org.units.Among other responsibilities, reporters oversee the data as the second-line approver. If needed, an additional supervisor can be invited to sign off the data. The supervisor can have any user role and is assigned in the Organization view.
