Below is a step-by-step guide on how to set up the integration of your transaction data with Position Green if you are using Xledger as your ERP provider.
Step 1: Retrieve API Token from Xledger
Log in to xledger.net and follow these steps:
- Navigate to Administration.
- Select Tilgangskontroll (Access Control).
- Select GraphQL.
Note: If the GraphQL option is not available, contact the Xledger Supportdesk to activate the GraphQL functionality for your account. - Click on API Tokens.

- Click “Generate new token”.
- Enter a name for the token (e.g., “Position Green API Token”).
- Check the boxes for “Accounts Payable”, "Common", and "General Ledger". This grants Position Green access to the required data fields in Xledger.
Note: Depending on how sales are accounted in Xledger, you may need to adjust these scopes with your accountant to avoid including sales transactions. - Click Generate Token and copy the key. Store it securely for the next step.

Step 2: Setup Connection Inside Position Green Application
- Navigate to “Data” in the left side menu.
- Go to the "Integrations" tab.
- Find Xledger and click "Connect".
- Insert your Xledger Client Key / API Token from Step 1.
- Click “Authenticate and activate integration”.
- A verification check will run. You will see a popup and card status reading “Authenticating credentials”.
- When authentication finishes (usually takes about 30 seconds), the status will change to "Verified Credentials".
- A confirmation notification will appear in the top right corner.
Step 3: Fetching Data to Position Green
- The first time you set up the integration, you can trigger a historical upload for a custom period, e.g. for the whole last year or for only last month by clicking the "Sync now" button or the ? icon
- Note that you can also set a scheduled integration, e.g. making sure we get data the 5th of every month, under the "Sync frequency" option.
- Congratulations! You are integrated.
